Colo-rectal cancer—cancer of the colon or rectum—is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States. In 2005, more than 53,000 people in the United States died of colo-rectal cancer (26,781 men and 26,224 women).
Colorectal cancer also is one of the most commonly diagnosed cancers in the United States. In 2005, more than 141,000 people in the United States were diagnosed with colorectal cancer (72,007 men and 69,398 women), making it the third most common cancer in men and in women.
His family has requested that the Jim C. Relief Fund be set up, in the near future, to those who may not be able to afford to have a sigmoidoscopy or colonoscopy done and if available in the fund, help with some financial assistance.

She was a very special lady who lived a hard life, but who in the last few years traveled more and laughed alot... than her previous years... She loved the Lord, and her family, and lit up the room when she walked in. We will all miss you Mom - and we will see you soon! "Maranatha" - even so - come -Lord Jesus !
